The documentary premiered at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival, where it won the World Cinema Grand Jury Prize: Documentary Competition, and was screened at several international film festivals, including the 46th Hong Kong International Film Festival and the BFI London Film Festival. However, Daniel Roher's documentary 'Navalny' took home the Best Documentary Feature Award at the 95th Academy Awards.
